Hello and Happy New Year! We are the Congenital Cardiology Psychology and Counselling Team. Some of you may already be familiar with us and if not, here is a picture of our team . This year our new year’s resolution is to spend a few minutes a day prioritising self-care – so every month we will be posting some top self-care tips and ideas for you and your family to make sure we are all taking care of ourselves.

Self-care tips for January: Go for a mindful walk! Get the family out and go for a walk in nature, notice what is around you and enjoy the crisp winter air.

Take 5 deep breaths if you’re anxious or worried and would like to try and manage your feelings – breathe in for 4 seconds, hold for 4 seconds and breathe out for 6 seconds.
