Please be reassured that we are still seeing out-patients, but our capacity is currently significantly restricted as we have to maintain social-distancing guidelines in all our waiting areas.
In adult services, all patients due for out-patient appointments are having their records reviewed by a consultant. You will be sent either a face to face appointment if we think one is necessary, or a telephone appointment, which may be backed up with a separate echo or MRI appointment either before or afterwards if it is needed. This is designed to minimise your time in hospital and exposure to others.
We are currently appointing all adult patients who are due appointments in November, and just about to start looking at those due in December. As you can imagine keeping up with demand in the current climate is a challenge! We thank you for your patience.
