New INR Machines

Children’s Heart Surgery Fund received a £5,000 grant from Global Radio’s Make Some Noise Charity to purchase the INR Machines

Children’s Heart Surgery Fund Statement – “We’re delighted to have received a £5,000 grant from Global Radio’s Make Some Noise charity – which we’re using to buy another 17 INR home-testing kits. These kits mean patients who need their blood coagulation levels checked can do so at home rather than having to attend hospital or a GP clinic.
Our CEO Sharon Coyle says: “Families benefit enormously by having these machines – as well as the practical difference, the psychological impact on a child is immense, knowing they are in control of a small part of their own care. We also provide these kits for adult patients, which means they can manage their own care, and spend less time away from work. We are truly grateful for the support given from Global’s Make Some Noise campaign.”
Global’s Make Some Noise director, Emma Bradley, says: “Global’s Make Some Noise is delighted to support Children’s Heart Surgery Fund. We’re huge fans of the work that they do, and we’re so pleased that they’ve been part of our inaugural campaign to make some noise and change young lives.”
