Attending your Local Hospital

  • Our consultants from Leeds travel to some local hospitals to families, so they don’t have to come to Leeds.

    What happens at the clinic

Your child may have their height and weight checked. They will see the consultant cardiologist from Leeds, who will usually do a scan of your child’s heart. They will discuss with you anything they have found and any plans or changes. They will also let you know if and when you need to come back again.
Usually there is a specialist cardiac nurse from Leeds to support you and your family. If you need to come back again they will give you their contact details and an information folder for you to take away.

  • What to bring

If you are coming back again, please bring your information folder with you; this is where you can keep previous clinic letters we have sent you. If you don’t have a folder please ask at your appointment if you should have one.

If you need to update your folder please click here to download the latest edition

Also bring any details of medication your child is taking.
