Fetal Cardiology - Education Day

We have an education day, supported by Children’s Heart Surgery Fund, aimed at Midwives, Screening coordinators, ward nurses and Neonatal nurses to find out more about the Leeds Congenital Heart fetal cardiac service. The date is Thursday 29th Novemeber here at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. Please share with midwives, screening cordinators, ward and neonatal nurses.

Introduction to the Fetal Cardiac service & antenatal options for babies with complex CHD

Supporting the family following diagnosis – what’s available?

The role of the perinatal midwife

Coarctation of the Aorta – Presentation & management of the neonate

Transposition of the Great arteries- Presentation & management of the neonate

LUNCH (include tour of unit if outside of Leeds)

Assessment of the cardiac patient with complex CHD
Parents experience of being diagnosed with a child with CHD
